Fund Operations Executive

Join our Enterprise team covering the Asset Management business of Macquarie in the EMEA region. This role will be based in Luxembourg at Macquarie Investment Management Europe SA, a 100% subsidiary of Australia-based Macquarie Group. In this role you will have the opportunity to work closely with fund operations, investment management teams and distribution, reporting directly to the Head of Fund Operations in the region.

In this role you will:

• Oversee production by third party service providers of the valuations for the Macquarie Asset Management EMEA based funds and act as main point of contact for any internal or external queries linked to the funds NAV calculations.
• Contribute to the governance of the funds by reporting operational developments to the fund boards, governance committees or Senior Management within Macquarie Asset Management
• Monitor fund budgets, review, and coordinate invoices payments with the fund administrator and coordinate with internal and external stakeholders’ funds reporting as required.
• Support Macquarie Asset Management Client Solutions Group in their initiatives across EMEA by facilitating client investments into the funds.
• Assist the Client Service team with the operational aspects of a client life cycle including client onboarding onto Macquarie platforms, change of operational setup of clients etc.
• Contribute to global operational projects and initiatives in EMEA and act as the point of contact in the region for such operational activities.
• Assist and support the fund- and market operational teams in EMEA to increase efficiency and resilience.
• Implement product driven changes from an operational perspective and monitor and coordinate the data dissemination with third parties pricing vendors and distribution platforms.
• Assume responsibility for the different operational aspects of the funds´ lifecycle including but not limited to custody set up or fund administration oversight.
• Identify operational efficiency gains by automation, outsourcing or using our support hub in India.

You will bring:

• Three to five years working experience in an operational function within the asset management industry with good knowledge of the Luxembourg funds landscape.
• Finance, audit or accounting experience will be beneficial in this role but not a pre-requisite.
• Ability to manage multiple projects, assess priorities, show flexibility and adapt plans in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong technical skills combined with the ability to take a commercial approach to problem solving.
• High level of motivation, genuine curiosity, flexibility and willingness to learn.
• Proactive, result-driven, flexible with “hands-on” approach.
• Excellent communication skills and full proficiency in English; proficiency in other languages is considered an advantage.
• As Macquarie Asset Management is a global investment manager, you will be required to work on cross border activities with the ability to communicate effectively between EMEA, Australia, Asia and the US.
