EU - IS Tester - Luxembourg (Nearsite)

TASKS DESCRIPTION

The following tasks will be performed by an external service provider:

• Definition of test plans and test cases.
• Construction of test scenarios and scripts.
• Execution of tests.
• Test coordination.
• Reporting of test results.

LEVEL OF EDUCATION

As stated in Article 2.6.3.1. of DIGIT-TM II Service requirements, a minimum educational qualification for lot 1 is:

Level of education corresponding to Level 6 of the European Qualification Framework which typically corresponds to a bachelors degree of 3 years.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

The following skills and knowledge are required for the performance of the above-listed tasks:

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Good writing skills, experience in the preparation of written reports.
• Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability, and experience in working in a team.
• Ability to cope with fast-changing technologies used in application development.

Due to the particular nature of a large international organization such as the European Commission, candidates should also have the following non-technical skills:

• Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability, and experience in working in a team.
• Ability to participate in multilingual meetings.
• Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment, on multiple large projects.
• Excellent Team Player.
• Ability to understand, speak, and write in English.
• High degree of discretion and integrity is required as the applications managed and maintained in DIGIT.A.3 contain personal and confidential data.

SPECIFIC EXPERTISE

The proposed candidates should have the following specific expertise:

• Knowledge of testing technologies, tools, and techniques.
• Hands-on experience in manual Testing.
• Knowledge of a Test Management Tool.
• Knowledge of a Defect Tracking tool.
• Experience in test data preparation, preferably with SQL databases.
• Experience in Front-end testing.
• Agile knowledge (for example, Scrum).
• Jira, Confluence tools.
• Troubleshooting.
• Define test plans.
• Attention to details.
