Functional tester

SOGETI is looking for a Functional Tester to join our company.

Your challenge:

• Ensure well-documented test cases are well-documented;
• Collaborate with the development team and business analysts to understand the functional requirements;
• Develop comprehensive test plans based on the project specifications;
• Create detailed test cases that cover all aspects of the softwares functionality;
• Execute test cases to verify that the software functions according to specifications;
• Identify and document any deviations from expected behavior;
• Report and prioritize defects in a clear and concise manner;
• Work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution of issues;
• Conduct regression testing to ensure that new changes do not negatively impact existing functionality;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user stories and acceptance criteria;
• Participate in sprint planning and review meetings;
• Identify opportunities for test automation and collaborate with the automation team to implement automated tests;
• Provide feedback on the software development process to improve overall product quality;
• Stay updated on industry best practices and incorporate them into testing processes;
• Perform treatment and validation of data and metadata, develop and implement validation checks to improve the quality and comparability of data;
• Be responsible of the dissemination of statistical information (draft, edit statistical texts, handles requests for information on statistical issues, give presentation in meetings);
• Draft report about work progress.

Your profile:

• Professional experience in the domain of statistics . The field of social statistics (i.e. Health, Education, income and living condition, labour force), but also Energy and agriculture is an asset;
• Experience in working with official data;
• Experience with Jira and Confluence;
• ISTQB Certification is a real asset;
• Good knowledge of Excel and database management;
• Good knowledge of SAS;
• Capacity to work in autonomy;
• Communicative, rigorous and organised;
• Fluent in English, French or German would be an asset.

Education:

3+ years university degree in Economics, Statistics or equivalent; and at least 5 years of professional experience; or any equivalent combination of training, education and experience that demonstrates the ability to perform the duties of the position.
