Department purpose
Our Luxembourg BD & MarkComs team contributes to the setting and achievement of the Luxembourg office’s overall strategy and business objectives, supporting lawyers in developing their business. This includes building and maintaining client relationships, winning new clients, focusing on key client sector groups, increasing the visibility of the firm on the Luxembourg market and across borders, and positioning the firm as the leading and the most advanced law firm on the market. Thanks to the international nature of the work of our Luxembourg office, our team collaborates on a daily basis with the members of A&O’s international network of business development and marketing professionals, providing support across offices, practice groups, sectors and clients.

Role purpose
Our Luxembourg Business Development and Marketing & Communications (BD & MarkComs) department is currently looking for an Intern for a 6 to 12 months internship starting in August/September 2024.

Role and responsibilities
We are currently looking for a motivated, responsible and a detail-oriented team player who will support our BD & MarkComs team across several of its functions and activities, notably in respect of:

• Contact management (expected to cover 70% of the intern’s time):
• Maintaining up to date the office’s contact management system
• Ensuring data remains consistent across the database
• Working with the various relevant stakeholders in ensuring that relevant data processes are followed
• Acting as a point of contact for general questions and queries within the office in respect of the database
• Marketing activities (expected to cover 30% of the intern’s time)
• Providing support with respect to the organisation of virtual and hybrid seminars/conferences
• Providing support with respect to social media campaigns, e-alerts, brochures and publications
• Providing support with respect to the preparation of client presentations

Key requirements

• Excellent communication (written and oral) and collaboration skills – engaging with others and working effectively as a team
• High attention to detail (quality over quantity)
• Organised and capable of anticipating as well planning ahead.
• Willing to suggest new ideas and taking initiatives
• You are currently preparing a Bachelors or Masters degree in a University or Business school.
• You are looking for a 6 to 12 months internship which is covered by a university agreement
• Ideally, you have already had a first professional experience as an intern with a large company. Any past experiences dealing with database management and marketing activities would be considered an asset.
• You have a good command of English (written and oral). French or German would be considered an asset.
