Event Manager

Permanent contract (F/M)


We are looking for a proactive and experienced Event Manager who excels at multitasking and who thrives on challenges. If you are organised, efficient, creative, able to manage a range of highly diverse stakeholders and expectations, and full of ideas of how to best use the event format to contribute to LuxSE’s corporate goals and strategic objectives, this might be the right job for you!


Responsibilities


  • Plan, organise, manage and execute a range of corporate events (internal and external, including official visits) that leave a lasting impression on the attendees;
  • Draft concept notes, programme outlines, and research and suggest the speaker line up for different events;
  • Plan and manage hybrid and fully-digital events and webinars;
  • Manage the relationship with all event-related suppliers;
  • Prepare and manage the yearly event budget;
  • Act as an advisor in terms of relevant sponsorships, negotiate better deals with event organisers and coordinate the contractual steps and documentation;
  • Provide marketing support in relation to conference stands to ensure maximum visibility and return on investment, propose new ideas;
  • Centralise all speaking invitations and sponsorship requests and gather the information needed to present each opportunity according to the established validation processes;
  • Prepare and keep an up-to-date centralised calendar for events, sponsorships and speaking engagements;
  • Interact with internal teams and a range of external stakeholders across both the public and private sector, and make sure everybody involved works together to ensure a successful event;
  • Actively collaborate with the other members of the Communications & Marketing Department, and support in the implementation of the company’s business strategy.


Requirements and skills

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Public Relations, Communications, Marketing or similar;
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in event management;
  • Excellent command of English and French as well as Luxembourgish or German, any other language would be considered as an asset;
  • In-depth knowledge of the broader ecosystem of event-related suppliers in Luxembourg;
  • Knowledge of diplomatic protocol and etiquette would be considered a plus;
  • Proficiency in the MS Office Pack (Word, Excel, PowerPoint);
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organisational skills.
